With a BA degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice from The Ohio State University and a Key Executive Masters Degree in Administration from American University in Washington D.C., Rod has remained active around the United States speaking to several organizations on crime related issues as well as advising and consulting on many major high-profile cases of national interest such as the Sniper Shootings in Washington D.C., the Chandra Levy missing person case, the Kobe Bryant investigation, the Michael Jackson Case, as well as several other major cases. Rod has also completed high level training in Terrorism Identification and Response and Workplace Violence from the esteemed Brookings Institute in Washington D.C.

As the principle owner of Capitol Investigations (Rod007.com), Rod insures that he employs only the nations top law enforcement investigators who are trained in all aspects of criminal and civil case investigation, forensic investigation, interrogation and interview investigation, as well as various other types of investigation.

Rod has had a very impressive career history. He has served several years as a homicide investigator with the Washington D.C. Police Department and as a fraud investigator for the Attorney General of the State of Ohio. Rod also served in corporate security and safety management with Boston Market Restaurants, brand partner of McDonalds Corporation. Rod is frequently called upon by many national and local news programs to analyze and discuss current crime related events in the media and has over 500 appearances as a crime analyst for the Fox News Channel. Rod has appeared as a guest on The O'Reilly Factor, Studio B with Shepard Smith, On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Hannity & Colmes, Court TV and MSNBC.

Rod is an active member of the American Society of Criminal Justice Professionals, the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers, and the immediate past chairman of the Food Security Council of the American Society of Industry Security (ASIS).

Rod is a devoted, life long Christian and a member of the Jericho City of Praise, and he resides in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area.
